Soccer Formations: 3-5-2

´

soccer formations 3-5-2´

This just another of the many soccer formations and below I’ve just listed a little more information about its advantages and disadvantages…

The 3-5-2 has three defenders, five midfielders and two strikers. As you can tell a team should have no problem dominating the midfield with that many midfielders, but the problem is with the defence. With just three players, the defence is left a little short and it is clear that the team playing this formation is likely to let in more goals than they might otherwise!

BUT the 3-5-2 is actually almost the counterpart of the 5-3-2. Some teams who play 5-3-2 may actually only play that system in defence and thens switch to 3-5-2 when they are attacking. The same applies to some teams playing 3-5-2, as they can change to 5-3-2 when they are defending. So here you can see the redeeming features of these two formations!
