Thanks for this Dave- the information here makes a great addition to the post. From what you say, it seems that the processes are improving over time and that there can be a solid, long term future for the club under this model.

I really appreciate your thoughts on Ebbsfleet, so will be sure to add the link to your blog as well to the 'other resources' section at the end of the post.

Nice article, thought I get much lower ratings from Alexa.

You mention Football Manager / Championship manager, and I don't doubt that a significant amount of dropouts were because they expected this to be a quick and easy game, rather than creating a new business model from a sector that was both resistant to change and restricted by a narrow customer base and tight finances.

These 20 months have been a struggle, but people have persisted and hammered out new ways of running an organisation. For example we collectively chose this season's kit manufacturer by using the crowd and experts at different points in the process. We've also developed procedures for internal elections, communications between members, Board and club, and methods for member suggestions to become real actions undertaken by the club.

Still a long way to go, but hopefully in the next few months these processes should become a bit tidier, and communication channels should improve so that casual members can log on once or twice a week and play their part.
