Men’s Soccer Olympic Games Winners

Hi everybody,

It’s a sad time for everyone now because this is my very last post in the series about international cup winners. So it’s fitting that we’ll finish with the oldest tournament of them all and discuss the Men’s Soccer Olympic Games Winners. Soccer was first played at the games in 1900 when Great Britain (my country) won- if only we could do that more often now! The medals have changed hands various times since then, so why not track the changes as you work your way through this list?

1900: Great Britain

1924: Uraguay

1936: Italy

1948: Sweeden

1952: Hungary

1956: USSR

1960: Yugoslavia

1964: Hungary

1968: Hungary

So that’s it- that’s the my series of reference/informational articles about the international cup winners all done and dusted with Men’s Soccer Olympic Games Winners. To use something of a cliche to close with, ‘they think it’s all over, it is now’!

Have fun,

Soccer Gek
