Colours
Colours is not really a regular one of the free soccer drills: it is a warm up activity. It should be done by players aged 12+ and it mainly works on your receiving and passing.

To set up colours, split the group of players into three lines as shown in the diagram (each line should be wearing a different coloured bib). Use up to a quarter of the pitch. All the lines point towards a middle set of cones, where one player from each team is standing. The player at the front of the line passes to his teammate on the cone, he runs to the cone, and then runs back to the end of the line. The player at the cone stays where he is and passes to the new player at the front of the line who returns the pass, runs to the cone and runs back to the end of the line. And it goes on just like this.
To progress, the person at the front of the line passes to the player on the cone. He spins left with the ball and passes to a new line of players. His place on his old cone is taken by the player at the front of the initial line who passed to him. The player who started on the cone moves to the back of his new line. The players who were the front of the line are now on the cone. They spin left and pass to a new line etc…
This excercise should help you to pass, receive, move and create space. It also helps with movement, running , balancing, coordination, turning, agility, decision making, communication, focusing and concentrating. So there you have it! Now why not look at another of the free soccer drills?
