Thanks for visiting how2playsoccer.com: the site that gives inspiration to beginners and fans around the world. My name is the Soccer Geek - a name I christened myself with owing to the fact that I like soccer and get called a geek… go figure!

I’m not a soccer pro, but am an FA qualified coach and have trained with the academy of a premier league club: big deal! More importantly, I like writing and am a soccer enthusiast myself, so I enjoy sharing what I know with beginners and other fans. Some of the content on this site may be inspirational, simple, geeky or just plain random…but hopefully you’ll find some interest in whichever sections you look through.

And why do I get called a geek exactly? Because I read a lot, I write a lot and go to one of the world’s top four universities.
